The purpose of this page isn’t to poke fun at Dr. Antero (owner of Tuscany Podiatry) for getting older. After all, we all become senior citizens at some point, if we’re lucky. The point of this page is to inform Dr. Antero’s patients that she has reached an age at which her skills as a podiatrist — which were already limited to begin with — are likely to have declined significantly. Given my experience with Quacktero, I believe she was never particularly competent in her craft. Her advanced age (65) adds another level of doubt.
Some skills naturally decline with age, and certain ones do so more rapidly than others. Hand-eye coordination, dexterity, endurance, and hand steadiness are among those that tend to weaken more quickly as one reaches late middle age. Those are some of the attributes required to be a good surgeon.
I can’t say for certain, but it appears that Quacktero has gone to great lengths to conceal her advanced age. Maybe she simply wants to look and feel younger. On the other hand, maybe she wants to mask her age so that she will appear — to her patients — to be “in her prime.”
The first photo of Dr. Antero was taken around 2017, when she was 56 years old. She looks about as one would expect a 56-year-old woman to look. The second photo was taken around 2025, when Dr. Antero was 64 years old. In approximately 8 years, Dr. Antero has appeared to age in reverse by about 10 years instead of aging forward 8 years.
Many Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgeons perform facial plastic surgery. My dad was an ENT, and he performed facial plastic surgery. For that reason, I have SOME knowledge about facial cosmetic surgery. Based on the updated photo of Dr. Antero, it appears that she’s had a face and neck lift, a brow lift (either done surgically, or with threads), and a blepharoplasty (a procedure to make the eyes look less “tired” and aged). I want to reiterate that I don’t have any firsthand knowledge about what procedure(s) Dr. Antero had, or if she had cosmetic surgery at all.
How did I come to that conclusion? In the updated photo (in relation to the older photo), Dr. Antero has a higher, more arched brow position, her eyes appear more open and refreshed, her descended facial volume appears to be lifted, and her lower face has less jowling. It’s possible that Dr. Antero used a filter on her updated photo (to look younger), but if she didn’t use such a filter, then it’s difficult for me to imagine her transformation didn’t come from cosmetic surgery.
You should avoid Dr. Antero, not because she’s old, and not because she may be trying to look younger; rather, you should avoid Quacktero because she’s incompetent at her craft, and her incompetence can have dire consequences.
