A former employee of Dr. Antero’s (owner of Tuscany Podiatry), who worked for her as a certified medical assistant for over 5 years, posted the following on Glassdoor. Based on my experience, I’m not at all surprised that Dr. Antero was accused of being a narcissist — it seems that nothing is ever her fault. Indeed, when Dr. Antero excessively shortened a bone in my foot (which caused multiple problems with my foot), she said that was merely a complication, for which she was not at fault. I had to get a revision surgery to lengthen the bone that Dr. Antero excessively shortened, but she somehow wasn’t at fault for that (that wasn’t the only error she made, but those weren’t her fault either [sarcasm]. Go here to read more.). Not only did I have to get a revision surgery to lengthen the bone that Quacktero excessively shortened, I also had to get two more revision surgeries (read about them here and here) to fix her quackery. That’s a total of 3 revision surgeries!
Dr. Antero is such a narcissist, that even though she screwed up my foot to the point that I needed 3 revision surgeries, she thinks that she’s the victim in this situation. Indeed, when I warned the public of the danger that Quacktero poses, she tried to have me arrested 3 times, she threatened to get my friend who owns an MMA gym evicted from his gym’s property, and she called my landlord to make a bogus sex crime allegation against me. As I said earlier, nothing is ever Dr. Antero’s fault. I’m sure Quacktero even found a way to blame her husband when she cheated on him.
Additionally, the statement about pay raises being nonexistent is very believable to me. Dr. Antero didn’t tell me that I was a candidate for minimally-invasive surgery, because she wasn’t trained to perform that particular minimally-invasive surgery, so instead of putting my well-being ahead of her financial well-being, she simply performed a different surgery that she, evidently, was not competent to perform in the first place. The type of person who puts greed ahead of her patients’ health is the same type of person who doesn’t give her employees pay raises.
As far as I’m concerned, there’s nothing eye-opening in the review below — it completely jives with what I know to be true about Dr. Antero.
